  • PGA Johan Kriek Tennis Academy
    • PGA is proud to share our facility with Tennis Pro Johan Kriek and his Academy. Offering both Junior and Adult programming here at our club. Johan Kriek Tennis Academy is dedicated to a modern game mentality, recognizing that upcoming tennis stars today and in the future have needs for training and motivation that are changing every year, and need to be individualized for each student.

We know students are motivated by a diverse skill-set, both on and off the tennis courts. We understand today’s world outside tennis and how it affects our students, the challenges they face, not only as players but also as young adults, plus the safety their families demand for a life dedicated to the development of their child are what makes the Johan Kriek Tennis Academy different than other tennis training institutes.

Our coaches have the ability to understand cultural issues and psychological barriers many of our international students face, and these issues are part of our training program. The greatest stars on the courts have great technique, but they also have a winning attitude and a sense of safety gained from their mentors.

We are more than tennis coaches. We are life coaches. And our students and their talent grow into success from a multi-faceted program of support.

  • POP Tennis
    • POP Tennis™ is the sport that everyone can immediately play and enjoy. It thoroughly engages and exhilarates you! Unlike sports that require prior lessons or a measure of athletic ability, children, young and middle-aged adults, and the older set, can just grab a racquet, a tennis ball, and a court, and have a fantastic time. This makes POP Tennis a great family activity.

One of the fun things about POP Tennis, is that everyone has their own, unique playing style – so have a blast, as you find or create yours! The POP Tennis court is smaller than a Tennis court, the racquet or paddle is shorter than a Tennis racquet, and the ball is less lively. Additionally, the net is lower, and the players serve underhand—not overhand, as in Tennis. These things make POP Tennis easy to play. The huge benefits for POP Tennis players are that the rallies are generally longer than those of Tennis; there is more fun and exciting net play and (net) poaching; there is less court to cover; there are no overhead serves to learn; and as a result, there is far less running and wear and tear on the back, legs, feet, and shoulders.

  • Pickleball
    • What is Pickleball?

A paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.

Pickleball is a racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Two, three, or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a wiffle ball, over a net. The sport shares features of other racquet sports, the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules similar to tennis, with a few modifications.

Call the tennis shop for details on reserving a court or for joining in the fun!
