The Palmer Golf Course

The Palmer was the last of the original four courses built at PGA National, opening in early 1984.

The Palmer reminds golfers of its Scottish roots with its links routing, undulating fairways, numerous grass bunkers and the sharing of a common green by Holes 8 and 12.

LOCAL RULES

ALL PLAY WILL BE GOVERNED BY THE USGA RULES OF GOLF AND THE FOLLOWING LOCAL RULES:

  • Inside edge of all perimeter roadways are out of bounds.
  • All water hazards are played as lateral water hazards and are designed by red lines.
  • Irrigation control boxes and surrounding shrubbery are immovable obstructions. See rule 24-2b.
  • Free relief from artificially surfaced roads and paths. See rule 24-2b.
  • Embedded ball rule is in effect-through the green.
  • Protection of trees. Free relief provided (stance & swing) from staked trees. See rule 24-2b.

GOLF CART RULES

  • Carts are to be parked on paths around tees and greens.
  • Remain on paths on par 3's.
  • Cart driver must have a valid driver's license.
  • No more thank two (2) people per golf cart.
  • 90 degree cart rule is in effect unless otherwise informed.

 GOLF COURSE ETIQUETTE

  • Fill in divots with sand provided.
  • Repair ball marks - rake bunkers.
  • Play should be completed in 4 hours or less - please keep pace with the group ahead or allow faster players through.
  • Marshals and starters are provided for benefit of all golfers. Golfers must follow their instructions.
  • All yardages are measured to the center of the greens.
